I am a British journalist, currently working as the culture editor at The New Statesman magazine in London. I have also written regularly for The Financial Times, The Times, The Guardian, The TLS, The Washington Post, etc. I have also served as a judge for the Baillie Gifford Prize for Non-Fiction.
I also spent a decade working in television producing and directing documentaries and current affairs programming for the BBC and other national and international networks, including the Rose d'Or-winning Storming the Capitol: The Inside Story, Ukraine: A Year of War and Ramadan: A Journey Across Britain. I am no longer working in this field.
I am represented by Toby Mundy of Aevitas Creative Management UK, but I can also be informally reached via the email address: tanjil dot rashid at gmail dot com.
